Booking Arrangements

• At the time of booking we require a deposit of one nights stay per room to secure your booking.
• The balance is payable upon arrival by cash, cheque, or credit/debit card.
• A 2% charge will be made for credit card transactions, no charge is made for debit cards.
• Please state an estimated time of arrival when booking.
• Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside Gainsboro Guest House.
• We welcome children over 5 years of age.
• Pets are not allowed.
• We reserve the right to refuse entry, or ask any person to leave immediately, especially if causing disruption to other guests. No refunds will be given for any stay cut short in these circumstances.

Check In and Check Out 

• Check in is between 14.00 and 19.00 late/early check in by prior arrangement at time of booking only.
• Rooms are to be vacated by 10.00 on day of departure.
• We reserve the right to charge for late check-outs.
• We are happy to store your luggage if required, please ask.

While you are Staying 

• Breakfast is served in the Dining Room between 8:00 – 9:00
• Rooms are tidied on a daily basis.
• You are free to come and go as you please during your stay.
• You are welcome to use the garden and lounge during your stay.

Cancellation Clauses

In the event of a cancellation or curtailment, Gainsboro reserves the right to charge: 

• 100% of the balance due if cancelled or amended within 7 days of the arrival date.
• In the event of a 'no-show' the full amount due will be charged.
• All deposits are non refundable (except where we cannot provide accommodation due to circumstances beyond our control).
• No reduction is made for fewer guests staying, temporary absence, meals not taken, or early departure.
• We strongly recommend you take Holiday Insurance cover in case of unforeseen circumstances affecting your booking.
• The card holder is responsible for full payment of the booking and we reserve the right to charge any outstanding amount to the card holder's card without further recourse to the cardholder.

Additional Charges

• Any damage or breakages will be charged for.
• Any heavy soiling of rooms or furniture will incur a deep cleaning charge; an additional charge will be made if this results in the room having to be closed as a result of soiling.
• A deep cleaning charge will be made if any person is found smoking in the room.
• A deep cleaning charge will be made for any unauthorised pets in the room.
• We will endeavour to discuss any additonal payments required with the guest(s) concerned, however in the event that this is not possible we reserve the right to charge the amount to the cardholder's card without further recourse to the cardholder.
